Coaching Services

One to One Coaching

  • Matt offers a bespoke 1:1 coaching on top of the following training services delivered by a Training Peaks University Level 2 coach:

    • Monthly detailed and bespoke training plan set via Training Peaks, including feedback and weekly re-structuring as needed

    • Unlimited email or WhatsApp communication with Matt

    • Guaranteed place on community runs or rides

    • Regular phone/ video coaching calls with Matt (40 mins)

  • 1:1 coaching can offer many benefits to an athlete in pursuit of a goal, such as:

    • Accountability

    • Structured planning

    • Feedback

    • Support, encouragement and reassurance

    • Detailed evidence-led analysis

    Finding a coach is easy, but finding the right coach for you might take a little longer.

    Matt recommends having a free initial consultation to discuss your ambitions and needs prior to committing to a 1:1 coaching programme.

    There is no requirement to commit to working with Matt for there, in fact it is advised you take some time to consider if the relationship is the right fit!

Ironman Training Plans

  • These are Ironman or Full Distance triathlon training plans for either 30 or 36 weeks in length. The plans are aimed at beginner-intermediate level triathletes with 6 - 10 sessions per week depending on meso cycle. Each training plan has been carefully designed and structured using Training Peaks app to guide you through each swim, bike or run session to prepare you for your event with weekly instructions to support you in your balance with daily life.

  • Training Peaks is a digital App used by coaches and athletes to prepare, set and review training plans using metrics and communication. As an athlete you can sign up for a ‘Basic’ account which is free, or you can subscribe to a ‘Premium’ account for a monthly fee to secure a greater breadth of features.

  • £100 for a 30-week plan

    £125 for a 36-week plan.

    A Basic Training Peaks account can be accessed for free and will be required to access and utilise the plan.

One to One Coach Consultation

  • Coaching differs from having a trainer, or mentor, in that it is not pushed upon you how you can improve and realise your potential. Working with a coach will give you greater autonomy to develop and grow through a ‘pull’ approach. A consultation can be a one-off session or - as would be recommended - a series of 6 - 8 sessions over a defined time period (month, quarter, season).

  • Working with a coach will be structured around you and the particular matters you want to work on. The sessions can be in person or online and remain completely confidential, so you can maintain any existing training relationships you have.

  • £35 per hour session

    £175 for 6 x hour sessions if booked as one.

Community Trail Runs (from Spring 2024)

  • Starting in Spring 2024 runs will be on a weekday evening from 6pm.

  • Peak District National Park. Routes will rotate and vary with detail plans advertised nearer to the event.

  • £5 per run, which will include run guide and support.

  • Runs will be available to book in advance from Spring 2024.
